Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how Boundary Waters Coaching & Conditioning ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you. It applies to both of our websites and the services offered through them: Boundary Waters Paddle Sports (https://www.boundarywaterspaddlesports.com) and Paddle Performance Framework (https://www.paddleperformanceframework.com).

Together these websites, our online programs and digital products, our email and text communications, and our in-person coaching, clinics, rentals, and events in and around Georgetown, South Carolina are referred to as the "Services." By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing or billing address, emergency contact, and details you share when you create an account, register for a program or event, book an in-person session or rental, complete an intake or health/readiness form, request a free guide, post in a community or comment area, or contact us for support.

Payment information. When you purchase a product, program, membership, rental, or session, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We receive limited transaction details (such as confirmation, the last four digits of a card, and billing name) but we do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

Health, fitness, and activity information. Because we provide coaching, mobility, nutrition, and sport-psychology guidance and on-water instruction, you may choose to share information about your training history, injuries, goals, dietary preferences, or general health/readiness. You are not required to share more than you are comfortable sharing. We use this information only to deliver and tailor our Services to you.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our websites we automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and dates/times of access. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies.

Information from third parties. We may receive information from service providers that help us operate the Services (for example, our website/CRM platform, email and SMS tools, analytics, and advertising partners).

How We Use Your Information

We use information to: provide, operate, and improve the Services; create and manage your account; process payments and deliver products, programs, rentals, and sessions; schedule and confirm in-person appointments and events; respond to your questions and provide support; personalize content and coaching; send transactional messages (such as receipts, confirmations, and program access); send marketing emails and, where you have opted in, text messages about programs, events, and offers; maintain the safety and security of the Services and our in-person activities; and comply with our legal obligations.

Cookies & Analytics

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, measure traffic, and understand how the Services are used. We use analytics and advertising tools, which may include the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and similar pixels, to measure the performance of our content and ads and to show relevant ads on third-party platforms. You can control cookies through your browser settings and can opt out of certain interest-based advertising through the tools offered by the advertising networks. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the Services function.

Email & Text Communications

If you opt in, we may send you marketing emails and text (SMS) messages. Message and data rates may apply to texts, and message frequency varies. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the "unsubscribe" link, and you can stop texts at any time by replying STOP. We will still send you non-marketing transactional messages (such as receipts, appointment confirmations, and account notices) as needed to deliver the Services.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows: with service providers who perform functions on our behalf (such as website/CRM hosting, payment processing, email/SMS delivery, scheduling, and analytics) and who may use it only to provide services to us; with advertising and analytics partners in the limited ways described under Cookies & Analytics; for legal and safety reasons when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our Terms & Conditions, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our participants, staff, or others; and in connection with a merger, sale, or other transfer of our business or assets.

Data Retention & Security

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting South Carolina residents, we will provide notice as required by applicable South Carolina law.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of certain marketing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below and we will respond as required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy

Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Some of our in-person paddling programs and events may include minors who participate with a parent or guardian's registration, consent, and supervision; in those cases, the registering adult provides any required information on the minor's behalf.
